I have torn out so many idea pages from Ballard Designs’ catalog over the years. They have such a beautiful selection of items and their stylists do an amazing job of putting things together. I recently came across some really great finds in their sale section and thought I’d pass those a long with some ideas on how to use them.

Cheap and Cheerful!
Not cheap in quality, but certainly easy on the budget! Although these are featured with a holiday motif, I think the white washed look can work in most homes year round! I also like to use these as holders on my vanity for cotton swabs or makeup brushes.
There’s a sweet simplicity to the vases below. I love items that I can repurpose over and over again. These vases have so many possibilities! Great for adding a simple touch in a bookcase, perfect for holding office supplies on your desk, and imagine them filled with pinecones or ornaments later in the year.
I have always loved the look of hobnail glass. I’d love to see you use one of the plates as the base for a pretty candle arrangement. And the bowl? My grandmother always floated a single bloom from her garden in a small bowl on the kitchen table. Simple and pretty. Grandma always knew best.
One of my favorite decorating tricks is to find a serving bowl I’m not using and fill it up with something fun. I love the twine wrapped look of the pears below! So cute and at a great price to get more than one set. (if you’re never going to hang them, be sure to snip off the hanging loop!)
Terrific Tabletop Touches
There’s a lot of focus on the whitewashed farmhouse look. But if you have a more traditional style home, or an historic home with a colonial feel, you may like the darker look of the candlesticks below. These would still look good in that farmhouse vibe, just add the twine touch you see in the photo, or some single stems of a white flower.
New placemats make me happy. They are the perfect way to add a new color to the table without changing anything else. I have always loved the exotic feel of an ikat print. And the tassels on the edge add a great touch.
These serving pieces were just too pretty to pass up. I love the scalloped edges. Whether for actual dinners or simply decor, I have to believe you’ll get your money’s worth from having these in your collection! I have more simple ideas like these in my decor under $30 blog.
Welcome Home!
The look of scrolled metal work is always pleasing to me. The cool thing about this doormat is that it LOOKS like iron, but is actually made of a molded rubber that works year round, in all climates, and is really easy to clean (with no rust to worry about!) If this size and shape works for one of your doors, it’s a good one to snatch up!
I love quilts in the spring and summer months. I think the honeycomb design with the soft, sun washed colors, is a wonderful way to refresh a bedroom.

Why Outdoor Pillows?
If you need some new decorative throw pillows, be sure to check out the styles below. We have a lot of windows in our home, including a sunroom, so I learned a long time ago that whenever I can use Sunbrella brand fabrics, I’m making a better choice for those sun drenched spaces. Of course, these pillows can add a lot of style to your patio benches and outdoor chairs too. Sunbrella anything is usually a bigger investment (and totally worth it, in my opinion.) BUT, when you can find them on sale…JACKPOT! Each style below is available in various colors/patterns, so hopefully you can score something great for your home for the outside months ahead!
