I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling the warm temps! And now that summer is around the corner, it’s only going to heat up from here.
So, what’s the best way to beat the heat? I reach for a glass of chilled iced tea.
Truth is, I used to be a Diet Coke girl… I drank it all the time before making the swap to tea. And once I finally made the change, I experimented with some tea recipes at home.
I love the classic version you’ll find at most restaurants, but I also like to change it up with some fun flavors. Want to see my favs? Here are some of my top iced tea recipes for spring and summer.

Iced Tea 3 Ways
Why limit yourself to one tea when you can have three? Especially with such a basic beverage, it’s nice to change it up every once in a while.
Iced Tea 3 Ways
I love being able to offer guests a tall glass of iced tea, so I always have some prepared during the hotter months. This recipe gives you three ways to prepare the classic drink, giving an interesting twist on a very basic beverage!
Ingredients
Red Berry Iced Te
- 6 red herb tea bags
- 4 oz fresh raspberries
- 8 oz fresh strawberries
- 8 oz fresh watermelon
Mojito Iced Green Tea
- 6 green tea bags
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 2 limes, sliced
- 1 small bunch fresh basil leaves
- 1 small bunch mint leaves
Orange Chai Iced Tea
- 6 chai tea bags
- 24 oz orange juice
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 oranges, sliced
Instructions
For the Red Berry Iced Tea:
- Bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remover the pot from the heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes (more or less depending on the strength of tea desired) and then remove the tea bags from the water.
- If desired, sweeten with sugar, honey, or agave syrup, to taste.
- Pour the tea into a pitcher, refrigerate until chilled, and add the fresh fruit when ready to serve.
For the Mojito Iced Green Tea:
- Prepare the green tea, as per above instructions.
- Gently crush the basil and mint leaves in a mortar and pestle or a small ceramic bowl with the back of a wooden spoon, to release the fresh oils. Set aside the muddled herbs.
- Pour the green tea into a pitcher, refrigerate until chilled, and then add lemon slices, lime slices, and the muddled fresh herbs. Serve chilled.
For the Organe Chia Iced Tea:
- Prepare the chai tea, as per above instructions.
- Bring the orange juice to a gentle simmer in a sauce pot. Place the cinnamon sticks into the orange juice, turn off the heat, and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks from the orange juice. Combine the chai tea and the flavored orange juice, and then refrigerate until chilled. Add the orange slices and serve chilled.
I love being able to offer guests a tall glass of iced tea when they come over to my house. It’s much more fun than giving them a glass of water if you ask me!
But I also understand that everyone has different flavor preferences which is where my Iced Tea 3 Ways recipe comes in handy.
One is a berry version, one is a mojito version and one is an orange chai version—something for everyone! Find all the ingredients you need above.
Pink Lemonade Tea
Do I have any Arnold Palmer fans here? If so, I’m sure you’ll love this vibrant version of the drink.
Ingredients:
- 8 tea bags
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
- 1 can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
Instructions:
- Combine the tea bags, sugar and water.
- Boil softly 3-5 minutes.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Add the can of lemonade concentrate to a gallon jar and fill it 3/4 with water.
- Pour in the tea mixture and stir well.
- Add ice cubes and enjoy!
As you can see, all you’ll need are some tea bags, sugar, water and a can of frozen pink lemonade. Simple enough, right?
Plus, it’s one of those drinks that almost anyone will enjoy.
Iced Honeydew Mint Tea
If you’re trying to completely surprise your guests, this honeydew iced tea will have them begging for the recipe by the end of the day.
This Taste of Home recipe will take your tastebuds on a spring or summer road trip!
Between the refreshing mint and the sweet honeydew melon, you’ll probably have to make a few batches.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 24 fresh mint leaves
- 8 green tea bags
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 5 cups diced honeydew melon
- 3 cups ice cubes
- Additional ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil and remove from heat. Add mint leaves and tea bags, then steep, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes, according to taste. Stir occasionally. Discard mint and tea bags. Stir in sugar.
- Place 1 1/2 cups honeydew, 2 cups tea and 1 1/2 cups ice in a blender. Cover and process until blended.
- Serve over additional ice and repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Yes, this one takes a little more time, but I’m sure the extra effort will be worth it. You can also make a single batch and serve it with some cut honeydew on the side!
Peach Orange Tea
Perfect for any warm day, this Peach Orange Iced Tea has your back when the forecast shows nothing but sun.
You can give it a try by following the recipe below!
Ingredients:
- 1 large fresh peach, sliced
- 1 clementine, peeled and segmented
- 8 cups boiling water
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 4 Earl Grey tea bags
Instructions:
- Place the peach, clementine, and sugar in a pitcher and mash the fruit using a spoon.
- Add water and the tea bags to the pitcher and stir. Refrigerate until cool, about 1 hour.
- Remove fruit and tea bags using a slotted spoon. Serve over ice.
Since peaches are one of my favorite things to add to my homemade desserts, this one is bound to end up in my fridge soon.
