Don’t you love it when you find a recipe that starts with a cake mix?
That’s how this easy recipe begins…and the deliciousness will “sock it” to you!
This cake has always been my Mom’s go-to recipe for parties and gatherings.
Whether it was a family dinner or a teacher’s luncheon, you could always count on my Mom to make her “sock it to me” cake. As she often said, “I could make something else, but every time I make this cake, there’s never a piece left, so I guess people really like it!”
No doubt, people really like it because it’s tender and light with a swirl of cinnamon and nuts. What’s NOT to like?
It’s easy to make because you’re transforming a cake mix into something so flavorful and yummy, it tastes like homemade. I like it as a breakfast treat, but really, it’s good anytime.
My Mom and I baked this cake together several years ago on my QVC show, You’re Home With Jill. My Mom doesn’t love being on camera, but I loved having her as a special guest for the episode!
Check us out in the kitchen together in the video below.
