There’s nothing like a tried-and-true crockpot recipe. They’re effortless and most of the time, filling and flavorful!
That’s the case with my newest crockpot meal… super simple shredded chicken!

This is one of those dump and cook recipes. In other words, just put all of the ingredients in the pot, set a timer, and wait for the end result.
Tender. Tasty. And all too easy!
Shredded chicken is also super versatile.
The first time I made this recipe, I made chicken tacos for my family. To no surprise, they were a hit!
But you can also use the chicken in pasta dishes, on top of pizza, in soup… there are too many ways to list. So, you’ll just have to let me know how you get creative when you make it!

Crockpot Shredded Chicken
Easy to make and super versatile, this shredded chicken is a great weeknight meal for the whole family.
Ingredients
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 packet Ranch dressing/dip seasoning
- 1.5-2 pounds boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in Crockpot and add broth, taco seasoning and Ranch seasoning.
- Cook on low for 6 hours.
- Open Crockpot, and shred chicken using forks.
Now let me tell you… with two pounds of chicken, this recipe makes A LOT. But the good news is it’s great as a leftover dish!

And it’s so easy to pop in the microwave if you’re looking for a quick meal before heading out the door.
