Spring has sprung! Or at least that’s what the calendar shows.
It’s still warming up in parts of the country, but I’m well on my way to preparing for some days under the sun. In addition to adding some new spring-themed recipes into the mix, I’m changing up my wardrobe.
Below, you’ll find some of my favorite spring style staples. I included some affordable closet essentials, a few picks from Peach and of course, a couple of picks from the Just Jill Shop!
Outerwear and Sweaters
Just because the weather is warming up doesn’t mean it’s time to put these outerwear and sweaters away. Instead, these spring style staples are perfect for layering!
The Stretch Denim Jacket from Peach is something that I wear at least once a week. And it’s one you ask about all the time! I love it because it’s not heavy or stiff, and it has a little stretch for comfort.
It isn’t too short or too long either… meaning it hits just right! Peach runs true to size as well.
Who says you can only wear leather during the colder months? I love this Robyn Faux Leather Moto Jacket because it matches with plenty of spring colors. And when the weather doesn’t hold up, it’s always nice to have an extra layer.
I love a good cardigan and they’re always nice for layering in spring. This one from Loft has a relaxed V-neck and it’s made with a comfortable (and machine-washable) rayon-blend material.
If you’re looking for something with a little more color, the Striped Split-Neck Tunic Sweater is sure to brighten your wardrobe. Designed with 100 percent cotton, it’s breathable but it will keep you warm.
Some cardigans can get a bit bulky, but this one from QVC is light and airy. I love the open weave look and adore the colors — so natural and versatile!
Tops For Your Spring Style
Whether they’re worn alone or used for layering, tees, tanks and tops are great for spring style staple.
If you’re looking for a basic tee, I love the Isaac Mizrahi Essential Pima Cotton Tee. It comes in multiple colors and it has a relaxed yet tailored fit.
Peach also has a basic tee that I wear regularly! The pima cotton is extra soft and it washes up beautifully. I like to use it as a layering piece.
The Grayson Top from Anthropologie is a great way to ease into your spring style look. With three-quarter-length sleeves and a lightweight, cotton material, it will keep you looking fabulous even on a cloudy day.
Tanks are one of my go-to styles during the spring and summer. But sometimes, a tank isn’t always appropriate for the environment. That’s why I have my eye on this tee option from LOFT.
It has a small cap sleeve that adds a bit of modesty to the look. Plus, it comes in seven natural colors!
However, on the days I am able to wear a tank, I typically reach for this Alina Hi-Lo Tank. As another Peach fave, it has a high neck and a casually fitted silhouette. It’s also one of those that you can wear on a nice dinner date or for a jog in the park.
I love the look of this basic pullover top because it can be worn out and about, or around the home. It also has a neat cross-back design which gives it a unique touch.
Pants and Jeans To Wear This Spring
Here are a few of my favorite spring style pant looks. Of course, you’ll see some classics. But you’ll also find some unique options as well.
Looking to transition from jeans to capris? NYDJ always has a variety of options to choose from. I love the Teresa Ankle Jeans because they don’t hug me too tight but they still look nice and fitted.
And if you’re in need of a white pair, I recommend taking a look at these slim ankle jeans. Now white can be intimidating, so make sure you find something that makes you look AND feel good.
NYDJ as been that brand for me forever!
But before I move on from jeans, I wanted to show you one more pair from Jen 7. They’re decorated in a beautiful floral pattern which is the perfect spring style if you ask me.
Plus, they’re on sale for 30% off!
Spring Style Sandals and Shoes
Skip into spring with these warm-weather shoes.
These springtime sandals come in five versatile colors and size 6 to 11 women’s. The straps scream “spring!” and the cushioned, memory foam footbeds are sure to keep you comfortable while walking outside in the nice weather.
I’ve been wearing Birkenstocks my entire life. In fact, I have pairs that have lasted me for over 10 years! They aren’t cheap, but in my opinion, the quality makes them worth the investment.
This one is the Arizona sandal which is their most popular style. I love wearing this style with a cute maxi dress!
In my opinion, everyone should own a good pair of white sneakers. And if you’re looking for one that will last, you can check out these Leather Lace-Up Sneakers from Soludos.
They have an ortho-lite insole for extra cushioning, and they have a leather upper that will only get better over time.
Jewelry and Accessories
Don’t miss out on these accessories for spring. I even included some from my new shop!
I’ll start by saying THANK YOU for all the support at the Just Jill Shop! One of your favorites is “The Jill” watch which is crafted with sterling silver and features three types of dials.
My favorite is the Sodalite (did you know it’s never been used on the Ecclissi watch faces before??). I also have a black Mother of Pearl option and a white Mother of Pearl option.
In terms of earrings, I’m all for these Floral Sterling Silver Hoops. See the beautiful little details? So gorgeous!
But you also can’t go wrong with the chandelier earrings. They’re one of your favorites, too! They come in Turquoise, Red Coral, Amethyst, White Mother of Pearl and White Pearl.
They’re actually very lightweight as well — I tend to forget I’m even wearing them!
A basic chain is a great foundation for other pendants or charms. But because this one is so pretty, I like to wear it alone!
Made with a paperclip design, this one is 36 inches in length. It also comes in an 18 karat gold-plated option for those who tend to wear gold.
I have not stopped talking to people about my Ahdorned Bag from QVC. I got the one with two straps and I love it. It’s easy to wear, has just enough room and it’s lightweight. I also like to swap the straps!
Fragrance is an accessory, right? I sure think it is!
I also tried a new one from Jo Malone recently. It’s called Wild Bluebell. So clean and so fresh — with just a subtle floral scent! I’m really enjoying it!
This lightweight scarf from Isaac Mizrahi is filled with the colors of spring. Also available in a pink tone, it’s a great accessory to spruce up a basic outfit.
So even if it’s still a little cold where you live, I hope these spring style picks will give you some warm-weather inspiration.
From my closet to yours,
