There’s a common misconception that higher-priced items mean you’re getting a better product. And while that’s sometimes true, I’ve discovered a few drugstore beauty finds that are both budget-friendly and high-quality.
Sure, I own some splurge-worthy makeup and skincare products, but I also have a bunch of products that I purchased at places like Walgreens, CVS and Target.

I find that a bunch of these items perform just as well as their pricey doppelgangers. Some of them even work better!
And as always, I strive to make your life a little easier — whether that’s with money-saving tips or with daily hacks — so I thought I’d share my favorites with you. Read on to see some of my go-to drugstore beauty finds.

Drugstore Beauty I Use at Home
Have your sights set on some new products but not sure if you’ll like them? I did some testing for you!
I started using this L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara after years of trying pricey mascaras that I found to be mediocre.
The color I use is Carbon Black and I love the shape of the brush. It seems to coat every last evenly!
There are plenty of lip products in my collection, but this gloss by Milani may be one of the most budget-friendly I own.
It has the perfect amount of shimmer and it isn’t sticky. I also don’t feel like I have to continue applying it every 20 minutes.
A sample of this Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Max Moisturizer recently landed in my hands and I must say… it’s a keeper!
I like to put it on my face before I go to bed. It’s nice that it’s fragrance-free and while everyone’s skin is different, it leaves mine feeling super hydrated.
Whether I’m rocking the bare nail look or a fresh manicure, I brush some CND SolarOil on top of my nails and cuticles as well.
I find that it makes my nails look healthier and more nourished. Just a little massaging of the oil is all it takes!
Hear me when I say this is THE BEST shiny top coat ever. These days, I typically wear this Seche Vite Top Coat on my bare nails. But it’s gorgeous on color as well!
Nothing is foolproof… but it fights dullness and chipping way longer than any other top coat I’ve used before.
Sometimes I get lazy before bed and don’t feel like doing my regular “routine.” And that’s why I always have a pack of these Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes on hand!
I’m always surprised at how much makeup they take off and they feel soft on my skin, too.
These Crest 3D Whitestrips are the easiest and most affordable way to whiten teeth… at least that I’ve found!
I like to use these strips before I have an on-air segment to give my smile an extra glow.
In addition to whitening my teeth before a TV appearance, I typically use a pair of Ardell Faux Lashes.
I’m telling you… they’re the best false lashes for women over 40! I hardly ever wore lashes in my days on QVC, but now I wear them all the time on the TODAY Show and for my photo/video shoots.
The best part? I can easily put them on myself! I use the “C-Curl” for more of a natural look and the “L-Curl” for some drama.
And when I put on my lashes, I opt for this Duo Lash Adhesive instead of the white glue. This glue is black in color and it makes the lash band less noticeable!
I’m not joking when I say I seriously own about five sets of this duo…
Tweezerman makes the best tweezers out there and I love that this Tweezer Set includes both a slant-edge and fine-point pair. SO worth the investment!
With warm, sunny days (hopefully) in the near future, a good sunscreen is a must. I like the La Roche-Posay Sunscreen because it doesn’t make me look ghost white and it’s lightweight.
I also like that it’s a mineral sunscreen that is ideal for sensitive skin.
Do you have any drugstore beauty favs you’d like to share with me? I’m always on the lookout for new makeup and skincare products to add to my routine!
From my home to yours,
Jill
