With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, finding ways to relax can be difficult.

Whether you’re taking the kids to school or cleaning the home before your guests arrive, life can seem like “go go go!” all the time.

And although keeping up with daily tasks is important, it’s also important to find time to relax and unwind… because a little self-care can go a long way!

So if you’re trying to take it easy, you can take a look at a few ways I like to relax at home.

Ways I Like to Relax at Home

I’m no relaxation pro (and I should probably do it a bit more!), but I thought I’d share how I like to unwind when I get the chance.

These ideas may sound simple… but I’m sure we could all use some new ways to “get away” from the craziness of everyday life!

I love making a homemade latte with my Nespresso coffee maker.

It’s much more cost-effective than going to a coffee shop every day. Plus, I can customize my drink to my liking!

(Also a plus… it’s $50 off right now!)

And what better way to enjoy coffee than with a good book!

I read this novel called Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker for one of my book clubs… it was a great read!

I find that taking a quick walk around the block gives me a perfect little refresh in the middle of my day.

Even if it’s just 15 minutes, I enjoy getting some fresh air and moving my legs a bit!

While baking and cooking can be stressful if I’m in a rush, I find that working in my kitchen is fairly therapeutic.

If I’ve been on my computer or in meetings all day, I’ll often pull out one of my favorite recipes and get to it!

Bath and Body Relaxation Must-Haves

If I had the chance, I’d unwind in a nice warm bath every night.

And while that isn’t always practical when I’m shuffling kids to games or creating new content and recipes, here are a few things I use when I do get the chance.

Find the bath balm gift set HERE.

This Bath Balm Gift Set from Musee is the perfect way to pamper yourself in your own home.

The balms come in three relaxing fragrances including vanilla, sugar and lavender.

And when they’re plopped in the tub, you’ll find a fun surprise inside as the bath balm melts away

Simply place it in your bathtub and wait for it to dissolve. The scent will immediately help you get into that calm headspace you likely need.

Find the caddy HERE.

If you’d really like to take a break, bring a nice book and a glass of wine into the bathtub with you.

This Bamboo Bathtub Caddy is helpful so that your things don’t get wet. And the bamboo composition resists regular wear and tear over time.

Find the shower steamers HERE.

I’m also a fan of the Musee Shower Steamers we have in the Just Jill Shop.

They’re similar to bath balms in that they dissolve in water, but these are specifically meant for your shower!

Let me just warn you… when you start using them, it’s hard to stop!

Find the eye mask HERE.

After my bath or shower, I like to treat myself to the Dr. Denese Hydroburst Eye Masks.

Truthfully, they make me feel like I’m at a spa…

All you have to do is place the gels under your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Great for puffiness, tired eyes or fine lines!

Find the eye mask HERE.

Whether you’re trying to unwind or you’re settling down for bed, this Gel Eye Mask will help you feel calm and relaxed.

You can pop it in the freezer for a cooling sensation, or the microwave if you’d rather wear the eye mask warm.

Ways to Relax in Your Home

There are plenty of other ways to relax outside your bathroom.

Whether your cozy place is on your couch or on your porch, there are plenty of ways to unwind in the comfort of your own home.

Find the blanket HERE.

I’ve had my Cozychic Blanket from Barefoot Dreams for over 10 years and I still use it on a daily basis.

It’s a little bit of an investment, but I can promise you that the price is worth it.

I love cozying up with this blanket by my fire when the colder months roll around. But I can also use it in the spring and summer since it’s not a super heavy blanket.

Find the cardigan HERE.

And if you’re on your feet and don’t have much time to sit down, you can still relax in this Barefoot Dreams Cardigan.

I’ve been wearing a similar Barefoot Dreams cardigan for over a year now and I love that it’s both practical and super cozy.

A great piece for lounging or going out to the store!

Find the slippers HERE.

These Dearfoams Clog Slippers are also great for lounging.

They’re super soft and plush, and they kind of make you feel like you’re getting a foot massage with every step.

A spa day without leaving the house!

Find the duo HERE.

I always feel 10x more relaxed when I have a candle burning in my home.

It allows me to “escape” and the warm glow creates a comforting atmosphere.

We have a collection of candles in the Just Jill Shop.

And one of my favorite offerings is the candle and room spray duo so you can get the full fragrance effect!

So, what do you say? Give yourself a little break and enjoy some time unwinding.

I know you deserve it!

From my home to yours,

Jill
