We’ve entered the season of vacations and road trips! Which in my family, also means a season of trying new restaurants and food wherever we’re going.

But when traveling, sitting down for a relaxing lunch or dinner isn’t always easy, which is why I keep my purse piled high with snacks for on-the-road munching. I like to change them up, but here are a few of my go-to’s that you might want to stock up on too!

Here Are Some Snacks I Take On-The-Go
If “sweet” is your kind of treat, I can’t recommend Hope’s Handcrafted Caramels enough.
These aren’t your typical store-bought caramels. Made in small batches, these melt-in-your-mouth morsels are the best-tasting caramels I’ve ever had.
In the Just Jill Shop, you can choose from six caramel options:
- Sea Salt and Chocolate Salted
- Sea Salt and Coffee
- Sea Salt and Spicy
- Classic and Chocolate Salted
- Classic and Coffee
- Classic and Chai
- Classic and Sea Salt
- Classic and Spicy.
I don’t think I can choose a favorite! But the spicy is my new addiction…
Another sweet treat I love is Macalat Bars. They’re fairly new to the Just Jill Shop but so many of you love them.
They taste like your classic chocolate bar, but they’re certified organic, zero-sugar, zero-net carbs, dairy-free, nut-free and gluten-free.
Almonds are a treat that will fill you up and stick with you throughout the day. But when taking a whole tub of them in my carry-on isn’t practical, I reach for these on-the-go almond packs!
I seriously don’t know if I leave my house without one of these packs in my purse.
They’ve saved me on multiple occasions when I’m running around and need something to hold me over until my next meal.
I’ve always liked trail mix and this bag is right up my alley. I’ve told you I’m a huge peanut butter fan. Yes? And luckily, in addition to nuts, raisins, M&Ms, candies, and pretzels, it has peanut butter chips and cups throughout!
Built Bars are without a doubt on my list of favorite on-the-go snacks. Each bar is only 130-180 calories, around 17 grams of protein and under 5 grams of sugar. Plus, they’re coated in REAL chocolate!
Sometimes, I feel like I’m eating a candy bar instead of a nutrition bar! If you’ve never tried them, I recommend getting the “mixed box.” But after giving them a good taste test, my favorite is the Salted Caramel.
You know I have a sweet tooth, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have cravings for snacks on the savory side.
And while you’ll have to make them yourself, my savory and zesty ranch crackers are a great treat to take with you!
The recipe is over 30 years old — meaning it’s a real winner. During the holidays, I like to give a jar of them as a gift to friends. But in my day-to-day, packing them in a handy Ziploc bag is super convenient!
Another good recipe is my grandma’s snack mix. It’s so easy to make and you can make the batch as big as you want.
Trust me… it’s a “more the merrier” type of snack!
So, what do you say? Let’s pack our bags, pack our snacks, and embark on our next journey!
From my home to yours,
Jill
