This comfort food sheet pan bake has become a go to for busy nights at my house. It’s a satisfying and easy meal that only takes a few minutes to throw together and hits the spot every time.

My Version Of This Trending Sheet Pan Recipe
I saw recipes for green bean and sausage bakes like this on social media, but wanted something a bit more hardy and comfort food like. I love the addition of fingerling potatoes. They’re smaller in size and cook up perfectly with the green beans. I can’t always find the multi-colored varieties, but when I do, I feel fancy!
I like the balance of the sausage, potatoes, green beans and creamy alfredo sauce. There’s still a little bite into the beans, there’s the savory flavor of the sausage, the smooth creaminess of the potato and then it all gets happy in an alfredo cheese sauce. Do I really need to say anything more?

With cooler temperatures bound to arrive soon, give this sausage bake a try the next time you want a comforting meal. It’s just so easy. Who doesn’t love a basic dump and bake kind of recipe? We usually serve it up in a bowl with a side of garlic bread.
Not fancy. Just good. I hope you think so too!
Sheet Pan Sausage, Potato and Green Bean Bake
This is such an easy meal for busy nights or when comfort food is what you're craving!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground sausage (I like hot, but mild is fine too)
- 1 12oz bag fresh green beans
- 1 small bag fingerling potatoes, sliced lengthwise (I use a 1.5lb bag from Whole Foods)
- Olive oil (1-2 tbsp)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 c. parmesan cheese
- 1 jar Rao's Alfredo Sauce
- 8 oz. mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Brown sausage in skillet over medium heat until lightly browned and cooked through. Set aside.
- Place sliced potatoes on sheet pan and drizzle with olive oil. Add onion and garlic powder, pepper and salt and green beans. Toss together so potatoes and beans are equally covered.
- Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and layer sausage on top of cooked potatoes and beans. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the sausage.
- Pour the jar of alfredo sauce evenly over the sausage.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for another 20 minutes. Potatoes and beans should be fork tender.
- Remove from heat and spoon into bowls to serve.
Notes
If you're not a sausage person, you can also use ground turkey or beef. Just be sure to season the meat well. I'd use salt/pepper/garlic powder to taste. Yes, you would still season the potatoes and beans with the spices as the recipe lists too.
