Me and my Daddy, 1969.

If you have a hard time figuring out what to get your Dad or Hubby, I’ve put together this collection of 20 great gift ideas for Father’s Day.

These are my go-to categories when it comes to finding a gift my husband will like. My Dad was really hard to shop for too. If you ever asked my Dad if he wanted something, he always shook his head and said he didn’t need a thing. Sound familiar? And then, much to my surprise, he’d return from a day out with something new for the house with the answer of, “it’s just something I’ve always wanted!” Grrrrr 🙂

So, here you go, my list of the 20 awesome gift ideas for Father’s Day. I hope they help you find the perfect gift for the great guy in your life.

For the Techie

Gadgets. When in doubt, guys always seem to love a new gadget. Here are a few your Dad might like.

I like this JBL waterproof bluetooth speaker because it’s a go anywhere size with good quality. Plus it’s waterproof, so if your Dad likes to fish or has a boat, he’ll love it!

My husband has fairly severe hearing loss, so sound quality is really important to him when it comes to headphones. These BEATS wireless headphones have become his favorite. They’re comfortable and provide great sound.

A smart thermostat, like this one by NEST, is probably one of the easiest ways to turn Dad’s house into a smart home…even if he’s resisting technology elsewhere.

The nice thing about getting a wireless camera for your Dad is that you can also monitor through a mobile app. We use blink camera’s at our home and I installed them…should tell you it’s easy to do!

Have a Seat!

Whether it’s for the beach or for a Little League game, this foldable chair is supportive, lightweight yet sturdy, and even has it’s own little sidetable built right in. It also doesn’t sit too low to the ground, so it’s easy to sit down and stand up!

Our family has spent a lot of time at sporting events where the only seat is in the bleachers. They’re cold and hard and uncomfortable. These stadium cushioned seats will make gametime so much better…especially if it’s a double header or heads into overtime!

Let’s face it, a recliner is the ultimate Dad chair. This recliner with massage features isn’t too bulky in appearance, but still has good cushion for comfort.

For the King of the Grill

A great tool set is as essential to grilling as a good knife set is to a chef. This is a 3 piece Stainless Steel BBQ tool set that includes exactly what a grillmaster needs.

A perforated grill pan is a great accessory for the outdoor grill. It keeps things from falling through the grill grates and it helps control flareups!

When Dad is ready to take his grilling to the next level, it’s time to consider a pellet smoker/grill. He’ll love slow smoking ribs and chicken, but this model also lets you grill at high temps too.

Want to make sure you always know how much propane is in the tank? This propane gas gauge attaches between your tank and your grill or fire pit hose and will give you a reading every time you open the propane valve. It will pay for itself the first time you realize BEFORE you start cooking that you need to refill the tank. A perfect practical present!

If your Dad has downsized and no longer is able to grill outdoors, this Power XL Indoor Grill can still allow him to keep his Grill-Master status.

If your Dad enjoys a nice glass of wine, he’ll really enjoy this electric wine opener/preserver set from Kalorik. The corkscrew makes it easy to open the bottle and the preserver helps keep any remaining wine fresh until the next time the bottle is opened.

If Dad’s a coffee drinker, this Contigo Travel mug is a great way to keep that cup of joe hot for up to 5 hours. It’s great at keeping cold beverages chilled too.

Out and about

I love to give sunglasses as a gift. They’re a stylish yet practical gift. Especially when you can find a brand, like these Ray Ban sunglasses, that are top quality but also on sale! Nordstrom Rack has a lot of great designer styles at good prices!

We are a baseball family, so I couldn’t resist this baseball stitched money clip by Rawlings. I imagine it will soften and “wear in” just the way Dad’s favorite glove did.

When in doubt, I always think a new baseball style hat is an easy and appreciated gift. I like this one from NIKE because it comes in a lot of different colors so you can find just the right look for your Dad’s style.

Ok, I know these dri-fit socks aren’t the most exciting gift you can give your Dad. But if he’s like my husband, he can never have enough pairs! And it ensures you don’t hear “where are my socks?”(well, maybe not QUITE as often).

Of course he is! Dad will be delighted by this Best Ever Tee. He can never hear it enough, right?

You and your Dad have made a lot of memories together. Why not find a favorite picture and celebrate your relationship with this daddy and me frame? Also a great gift for the new Dad (your son or son-in-law?) And if you’re looking for some more frames, Kohl’s has a great assortment at really reasonable prices (especially if you earn their Kohl’s cash!)

So, I hope you liked my 20 great gift ideas to get your shopping started for Father’s Day. If you’re looking for something special to cook for Dad, may I suggest my chocolate sheet cake recipe? It’s always a winner!

Dad’s are so special. Mine has been gone for almost 10 years and I miss him daily. He loved Reeses, so I have one every year on his birthday. I’m so grateful for the relationship we had and for the parts of him that live inside me. I’m also lucky to have a husband who is a dedicated and supportive Dad to our kids. Life is good.
