You’re either a night owl or a morning person. Me? I consider myself a little bit of both!

Although my night routine changes by the day, my morning routine stays primarily the same.

Now, that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to get up in the morning, but some sort of structure definitely makes hopping out of bed a tad easier.

Up and At ‘Em!

I usually wake up around 6:30 am to get my day started. But I don’t like the blaring noise of an alarm clock, so instead, I wake up to music!

I prefer something from the 80s and by Sting or U2 🙂

Find the Bose Wave HERE.

I’ve been using the Bose Wave music system as my alarm clock for as long as I can remember.

My favorite part is that when the alarm/music goes off, it starts super quiet and then gradually gets louder.

That way, it’s more of a gentle nudge to wake up and start my day!

I don’t wake up and start my day in the early hours just for the fun of it. I like to spend time with my son Trevor before he heads off to school, so being an early riser allows me to do so!

Find the Nespresso Machine HERE.

While he’s getting ready, I like to make myself a cup of coffee with my Nespresso Machine and Aeroccino Frother.

I can’t say I’m a total coffee lover, but if it tastes like dessert, I’m in! I love using Oatmilk Creamer by Silk to top off my morning brew.

Speaking of tasting like dessert… ever since we started carrying My Grandma’s Coffee Cakes in the Just Jill Shop, I always have one in my home!

FInd the coffee cakes HERE.

And I can certainly say, starting my morning with a slice always puts me in a good mood.

After Trevor heads off to high school (still don’t know where the time went…) I usually make myself a light breakfast.

Sometimes it’s a protein bar, sometimes it’s a shake, and sometimes it’s vanilla yogurt with blueberries and almonds.

Then, I head upstairs to take a shower and get ready for the day!

Getting Myself Ready for The Day

For me, shower time is a time to decompress before I get started with all of my busy work.

Find the shower gel set HERE.

One of my favorite bath products is the Philosophy Shower Gel. I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember, but it’s never failed me so why switch it up!

I prefer the Sweet Cream as a year-round scent although I’ve tried multiple (similar to the combo above!) that I like.

Find the shampoo and conditioner HERE.

When it comes to my shampoo and conditioner, I turn to Calista Jousse.

The supersize deal always lasts me a long time and I love the way it makes my hair feel after a refreshing shower.

There are some people that are lucky enough to have naturally styled hair. But I have to blow dry it or it looks like I have major bed head!

Find the CC Cream HERE.

Before drying my hair, I use the Calista Achieve 10 or Alterna CC cream.

They’re both leave-in treatments, and I like that it leaves my hair feeling polished but not greasy or heavy.

I have two hair dryers that I turn to—and I like them both!

Find the Dyson HERE.

The first is my Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer.

I understand that this is quite the investment, but I haven’t had any issues with it and I continue to like the results I see.

Find the Drybar hair dryer HERE.

I also use the Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer.

It looks more like your classic hairdryer and it’s nice that it works on any hair type.

One of the other things I enjoy about this dryer is that it has a “cool shot” setting to set your hair when you’re done drying!

My Skincare and Makeup Morning Routine

When my hair is finished, I move on to my skincare routine.

Find the Lanceri peel HERE.

Lancer is a brand I’ve learned to love and trust over the years. One of my go-to products is the Caviar Peel.

I find that it improves the texture of my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated.

Find The Method HERE.

Also from Lancer is this 3-piece cleansing set called “The Method.” It includes a skin polish, a cleanser, and a nourishing brightening/hydrating cream.

I buy them in the “super-size” set because they last a long time.

A lot of the time, you see me with a full face of makeup because of on-air appearances. But the truth is that I’m a pretty basic gal when it comes to my makeup routine!

Find the cloud cream HERE.

When I’m out running errands or heading into the office for work, I like to use a tinted moisturizer because it adds a bit of coverage without feeling too heavy.

Right now, I’m enjoying the Tarte Cloud Cream. It even comes with a nice brush for easy application.

And for my mascara, I almost always use Lancôme Grandiôse.

This is the cool gloss… but you can find the Miracle Balm HERE!

My good friend Bobbi Brown has a clean beauty brand called Jones Road.

I already fell in love with the cool gloss (in the photo above) but I’ve recently started using the Miracle Balm and love it just as much!

I like the Dusy Road shade. So versatile!

Find the Happikiss balm HERE.

And I’m still a huge fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Happikiss balm.

The color I have is called “Pillowtalk” and I like that it offers light coverage with just some subtle color.

The Typical Just Jill Unform

I say uniform like it’s something special… but it’s usually just a pair of NYDJ jeans with a basic tee!

Find the jeans HERE.

I like the cropped look of the jeans I’m wearing above because they make for a great seasonal transition pant. They also work well with both sneakers and flats.

The tee I wear? Well… I certainly change it up but I love wearing a simple white v-neck.

Find a similar cardigan HERE.

Then, I typically drape a Barefoot Dreams cardigan over my shirt.

Sometimes, it will be a little chillier in the office and this provides the perfect amount of coverage.

(The cardigan above is no longer in stock! But you can find a similar one here.)

Find the Allbirds HERE.

I’ll also let you in on a newer obsession of mine… my Allbirds!

They’re so cozy and because they’re made with wool, they’re warm as well. Not overly warm, but just enough to make them comfortable on cooler days!

Find everything I’m wearing HERE.

In terms of jewelry, I’m all over the place. With so many pieces, I can’t stick to a single look!

However, I usually choose my signature Powerbeads bracelet, my Jill Ecclissi watch, a few My Saint My Hero bracelets, and some hoop earrings.

Necklace-wise, I’ve been favoring paperclip necklaces or the labradorite selection from the Just Jill Bali collection.

Find all of the pieces below!

I know it’s nothing too too special… but I hope you enjoyed getting ready with me and seeing my morning routine!
