Soup Recipes To Make This Season
You might already have a good family recipe for your favorite soups, but I wanted to share some of mine as well! Whether you’re into something light or something a little more hearty, I think you’ll find something to warm your belly.
This soup is the newest in the lineup but I think I hit the nail on the head in terms of flavor and texture.
I’ve rarely met someone who dislikes broccoli cheddar soup. But if you’re one of those people who fall into that category, you might change your mind after tasting this recipe!
Find everything you need to make it HERE.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m a California girl and I grew up just a short way away from Newport Beach.
I actually learned this recipe from a childhood friend and I make it all the time even though I’m an East Coast gal now!
If you have a slow cooker laying around that you rarely use, now is the time to bring it out! I’ve made this Chili for as long as I can remember and it’s both tasty and super filling.
We actually have chili cook-off competitions in my house between me and my husband, Doug. I always take on the challenge with this simple recipe that seems to be a hit.

This soup is filled with zucchini, vegetables, ditalini pasta, and mini turkey meatballs. I found it a little while ago and it’s still one of my favorites!
What’s nice about this one is that it can be refrigerated for up to five days or frozen for up to three months… talk about a great batch of leftovers! You can also make a few swaps based on your diet or flavor preferences — like beans for pasta.

This is one of my newer soups but in my opinion, it’s one of my best. Not only do you have tender meat and vegetables, but you also have a ton of flavor from oregano, thyme, basil, and garlic.
Sure, the taste is one factor that makes this soup a hit, but I also love that it allows me to use up a bunch of leftover vegetables so that nothing goes to waste.
If you’re interested in making it for your own family, you can find the recipe HERE.
Easy Broth For Soup
Okay so this might be cheating a bit… but I promise it works perfectly for any soup recipe! Just find a “soup pack” in the produce section which usually includes hints of carrots, celery, onion, garlic, turnip, and fresh herbs.
I like to spice it up a bit by adding peppercorns, kosher salt, and bay leaves.
My Homemade Chicken Soup
My chicken soup is a staple in my household and for a good reason — it’s full of flavor and it’s super simple to make!
Just put your chicken in a deep stockpot along with veggies to add some flavor. Next, add some water so that it covers your ingredients, and simmer on low for several hours.
When you’re done, strain the liquid into another pot and throw out the cooked veggies. Let the chicken cool, then use the meat (either chopped or shredded) and add it to your broth. Chop up more vegetables like carrots and celery and add them to the mix.
When it comes to the noodles, I like to cook them separately and add them right before serving to keep them from getting mushy.
Kitchen Necessities to Make My Favorite Soups
Dream all you want, but you can’t have a warm bowl of soup without making it first! What’s wonderful about these recipes is that there are multiple ways to make them.
Here are some of the tools I use in the kitchen to make my favorite soups!
The popularity of the Instant Pot took off a few years ago and I still use it all the time!
All you have to do is turn it on the sauté setting, add your ingredients and let it sit. Some recipes take as little as 20 minutes while others take a few hours.
But no matter how long it takes, I’m sure your soup will taste great.
If the Instant Pot isn’t your thing or you already have a crockpot at home, you can still whip up a bunch of recipes in this classic kitchen appliance!
Similar to the above, you’ll need to add all your ingredients (some earlier than others) and cover them with water or broth. Next, leave it to sit for an alluded amount of time and you’re on your way.
Don’t have one? I like this Hamilton Beach Crockpot which is actually pretty affordable!
Something not a lot of people know is that you can make soup in a blender. You heard that right!
And one of the blenders that is best known for soups is the Vitamix Explorian Blender.
It’s an investment, but this blender will last you for years.
Tomato soup? Butternut squash soup? Creamy mushroom? You can make them all. Plus, most Vitamix blenders come with an easy-to-follow recipe book.
These Temp-tations Old World Meal Mugs can be used as holiday gifts, birthday gifts, or gifts for your own home.
Each one is decorated in beautiful details which make them look extra special.
They also come with lids to help prevent spills and boxes for gifting!
I’ve always loved a good soup and sandwich combo. It seems to hit the spot every time.
That’s why these Temp-tations Woodland Sets caught my attention.
They come with a matching bowl and a plate that will make your meal look like it came straight from a local café!
You can’t eat soup without spoons! And while I’m sure you already have some in your household, these Hand Stamped Spoons might be too cute to resist.
You can even customize them to say whatever you’d like!
