Is anyone else feeling that warm weather shift? We still haven’t reached “shorts and sandals weather” where I live, but I can tell those sun-filled days aren’t far away!
At the same time I’m transitioning my wardrobe from one season to the next, I’ll also be transitioning my beauty products. Because let’s face it, wearing heavy, cakey makeup in the humidity is a recipe for disaster.

So if you’re on the hunt for some beauty items for this season (and maybe even summer!), I rounded up some of my favorite spring beauty swaps below.

Luscious Spring Lips
When the warm weather rolls around, opting for a lighter lip product—both in terms of color and feeling—is a great option.
I go from more plum tones to a nudish-pink or mauve.
No matter what, I always love a pop of color in a coral or gold shimmer, too!
The MAC Lipglass in Nymphette or PRRR is what I choose if I’m going for a gloss.
And right now, I’m really loving the Charlotte Tilbury Happikiss balm in Pillowtalk.
It’s perfect for warmer weather when you need a touch of something!
While dry skin is very much a winter problem for most, the change in weather can also be drying!
So it’s best to keep a nourishing lip balm in your bag for those chapped lip emergencies. If you haven’t tried Mad Gabs, I can’t recommend this set enough!
Spring Beauty Products for The Hair
The constant sunshine can make your hair brittle. Chlorine from a pool can be drying and weaken your strands.
And humidity? Well, let’s just say my hair never looks the way I want it to when the air is heavy!
I find that the Calista Jousse Shampoo and Conditioner makes my hair feel ultra-smooth. According to the brand, it’s also designed to fight breakage that you might face in spring and summer.
Plus, these super-size bottles last SO long!
I’ve always been a fan of WEN by Chaz Dean as well. My favorite is actually the kids’ formula… but don’t let the name fool you.
It’s for adults, too! It just doesn’t have menthol in it (which kids often don’t like).
In my opinion, it’s the frothiest and lightest of the WEN formulations and I’ve used it as both my cleanser and leave-in product for a decade!
Oh, and if you really want to recondition after a few days in the sun, try the Kerastase Masquintense.

A few sprays of this Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray and you’ll be set!
When it comes to locking everything in, I recommend trying the Alterna Working Hairspray.
I call it my “Hall of Fame” hairspray and it never lets me down. Seriously… it keeps my hair locked in place from the moment I walk out the door to the moment I get home.
Now let’s say you’re trying to give your hair a break from the hair tools with some air-drying. I do this all the time during the spring and summer.
But before I let the air do its work, I spray my hair with Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.
It gives me some much-needed volume and texture!
When the sun starts to bleach out my highlights—making them brassy—I opt for Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo.
Skincare and Body Products
One of the first skincare items you think of when you think of sunny days is sunscreen.
I love the Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen for my face. It’s super lightweight and it doesn’t leave that white cast that you get with some sunscreens.
The La Roche-Posay Sheer Sunscreen is also one of my favs.
I used to not really care what SPF I used on my arms and legs. But that’s until I found the sunscreen from PEAK 10.
The SPF30 Sun JOY sunscreen is a non-chemical sunscreen that goes on smooth and non-greasy. It can also be used on your face!
If you’re in need of a spring beauty fragrance, I love the Fresh Cream Spray by Philosophy.
It’s lightweight yet noticeable.
I love to shower with Philosophy Pure Grace as well. It gives me that “soap and water” clean feeling!
To get my feet spring pedicure-ready, I’m using PEAK 10 Save My Sole Foot Rescue Cream.
It repairs my dry, cracked skin. And it also relieves inflammation from tired feet!
Spring Beauty Products for The Face
Because of the hot temps (and the potential for a sweaty day outside), good facial spring beauty products aren’t always easy to come by.
With that said, I love Laura Geller’s Matte Maker is the product that helps me stay shine-free all day long.
The Tatcha Blotting Papers are a great backup for those days when the humid air wins!
Since I don’t live my life on camera the way I used to, I’ve also transitioned from the types of foundations I wear.
I like foundations with lighter coverage and honestly… I think I look younger as a result! I’m loving the Tarte Shape Tape Cloud Cream in Light/Medium right now.
The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Hydrating Foundation is another one I turn to (I wear shade 4).
To get rid of dirt and pollutants that make their way onto my skin when I’m enjoying the great outdoors, I like to use Lancer The Method Polish.
And when you’re trying to find good face makeup products for spring and summer, find something light to help avoid caking.

A cream blush is also best because it soaks into the skin instead of sitting on top… plus, it will give you a more natural look and will help fight makeup melt.
I like to choose one that doesn’t have too much red in it or I find that I look sunburned!
