I feel like everyone has their own guacamole recipe on hand, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try another!
You never know when you’ll find your new favorite…
For example. I used to use the one on the back of one of those pre-made guac packets from the store. But then I found one from my sweet friend, Tara.
Does her name ring a bell? You might know her as the gal behind Temp-tations!
Well as it turns out, in addition to creating some super cute dinnerware, she has some delicious recipes up her sleeve. And her easy guacamole is one of them!
Now, I won’t make any other version! Did I mention it only requires two steps?
If you’d like to try it yourself (or you’d like to see some neat ways to use guac at home) you can check out the rest of my blog below.
Oh! And at the bottom, I picked out some guac dishes, storage containers and more for your next batch.

Famous Garlicky Guacamole Recipe
Tara’s guac recipe is by far one of the best I’ve ever tried. It’s not too smooth or too chunky, and there’s just the right amount of garlic.
You can check out everything you need below.
- 3 ripe avocados, halved, pitted, and skin removed
- 2 tablespoons salsa
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (from about 1/2 lime)
- In a medium bowl, mash avocados with a fork until chunky.
- Add salsa, garlic, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Mix well and serve immediately in a bowl or cover and chill at least 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
