I’m not a “dessert every day” type of person… but I won’t deny that I have a sweet tooth! And if there’s one day a year that it’s 100% acceptable to indulge in desserts and treats throughout the day, it’s Valentine’s Day.
If you’re looking for some scrumptious sweets to make on the 14th, I have quite a few. Chocolaty, fruity, creamy… you name it!
Find some of my favorites below.
My Ideal Valentine’s Day Sweets Lineup
Valentine’s Day is a day to be around those you love. So, you don’t want to get in over your head preparing all your desserts that day.
I like to start my morning with some rich hot chocolate and a donut board. And I’ll tell you… my family will eat up every crumb!
And while I like to bake one or two things on the 14th, I try to prep ahead and make some of my Valentine’s desserts ahead of time.
Chocolatey Valentine’s Desserts
If you’re in the mood to bake up some treats this weekend before Monday, I have some simple and easy recipes you can follow… starting with all things CHOCOLATE!
German Chocolate Caramel Cake
First is my German Chocolate Caramel Cake. Each square is incredibly rich and gooey.
The caramel melts in your mouth and the chocolatey taste will leave you craving more.
Valentine Peanut Butter Cookies
It can’t get more festive than these peanut butter cookies topped with a chocolate heart that are perfect for Valentine’s Day.
It’s the same recipe as my popular 3-ingredient peanut butter cookies but with a holiday-focused twist.
Brownie Chip Cookies
And if you’re looking for an ultra-simple recipe, these Brownie Chip Cookies only require four ingredients… yes, FOUR!
The secret is in the way you make them. Instead of baking everything from scratch, you’ll use some store-bought brownie mix.
I’m telling you, you won’t know the difference between these and ones that are completely homemade!
Easy Chocolate Lover’s Pie
It seems like no matter the time of year, there’s always a seasonal pie you can make.
And although pumpkin is typically made in the fall and key lime is a great summer treat, this Chocolate Lover’s Pie is perfect for year-round indulgence.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
I have a bunch of chocolate recipes, but the last one I’ll share with you today is a classic.
Meet my Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies (if you haven’t already met them!).
You can’t go wrong with chocolate chip… but these ones? I can promise you you’ll be making a few batches. Oh, and don’t forget the milk!
Caramel Pretzel Bites
If you’re looking for the simplest of simple, you’ve found it! These caramel pretzel bites are a breeze to make, and super tasty too.
Similar to my peanut butter cookies, they only require 3 ingredients. And what’s neat about these is that you can change them up from holiday to holiday by decorating them with different color M&Ms!
Fruity Treats and More
Sure. Valentine’s Day is filled with chocolate. But that doesn’t mean there’s no room for other sweets and treats!
No-Bake Cherry Cheesecake Dessert
Take my Easy No-Bake Cherry Cheesecake Dessert for instance. It’s my daughter’s favorite recipe out of all the desserts I make… and I totally understand why!
The tart cherries pair perfectly with the sweet, creamy cheesecake base. The graham cracker crumb crust is just a bonus 🙂
Creamy and Delicious Baked Cheesecake
But if you’re looking for a basic cheesecake recipe, my Creamy and Delicious Baked Cheesecake should be on your radar.
Instead of using a regular crust, I actually process Lorna Doone Shortbread cookies to make crumbs.
Mixed with a little butter, it’s the perfect base for this tasty cheesecake!
4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge
This fudge is a fairly new recipe. But I’ve already made it quite a few times!
My Peanut Butter Fudge only requires four ingredients and it’s pretty simple to make. People get a little intimidated with fudge, but I promise you it’s easier than you think.
If you’re not convinced yet, maybe the chunks of peanut butter cups will do the trick!
My Favorite Strawberry Cake
A great pick for one of your Valentine’s treats, this pink Strawberry Cake will match all of your festive decor on the 14th.
It’s actually the cake I usually make myself on my birthday. The strawberry base with strawberry buttercream frosting… ENJOYABLE!
Did I mention you make it with store-bought cake mix? Super simple as well!
Give yourself the chance to indulge a little this Valentine’s Day… I know I will be!
From my kitchen to yours,
Jill
